About Me

I am a Network Engineer and cybersecurity professional with a passion for technology, continuous learning, and solving complex problems. My experience includes supporting enterprise environments, monitoring network operations, investigating issues, and helping maintain secure, stable infrastructure.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity and am currently completing my master’s degree in business intelligence. That combination has helped me build a broader perspective across security, networking, and analytics, allowing me to understand both the technical and business side of modern technology environments.

I also maintain a home lab that I use to further strengthen my knowledge of networking, system administration, virtualization, self-hosting, and security concepts in a safe hands-on environment. Through my lab, I regularly deploy and test new solutions, host websites and services, explore infrastructure design, work with reverse proxies and containers, and build practical experience troubleshooting real-world technical challenges without impacting production systems.

Outside of my core responsibilities, I enjoy building projects that expand my skills in cybersecurity, automation, coding, analytics, and web development. I am focused on continuing to grow professionally and pursuing opportunities where I can contribute to stronger security, more reliable systems, and smarter technology-driven decision-making.

Experience

I bring a diverse technical background shaped by both professional experience and hands-on academic work. In my current role as a Network Operations Center Engineer at Humana, I help monitor enterprise environments, identify anomalies, support incident response efforts, and contribute to maintaining the stability and integrity of critical infrastructure.

My previous experience at Microsoft as a Global Inside Partner Development Manager strengthened my communication, cloud, and business-facing technology skills by supporting partner growth across SaaS and Azure-focused solutions. That role helped me develop a stronger understanding of how technical solutions align with business strategy, customer needs, and long-term growth.

My academic and project-based work has included vulnerability assessments, security documentation, business process analysis, Power BI dashboards, system hardening, compliance-focused planning, and web-based technical presentations. Together, these experiences have helped me build a balanced skill set that combines technical execution, security awareness, analytics, and continuous improvement.

Skills

I have experience working with network monitoring, segmentation concepts, firewalls, secure remote access, and infrastructure troubleshooting. Through both professional work and lab environments, I continue building practical knowledge around protecting systems while maintaining performance and reliability.
I have worked with security concepts related to threat awareness, attack patterns, and defensive strategy. My background in cybersecurity has helped me understand how threat intelligence can support stronger decision-making, better monitoring, and more informed response efforts.
My experience includes identifying issues, reviewing alerts, escalating concerns, and helping support response efforts in operational environments. I value structured troubleshooting, clear communication, and learning from incidents to strengthen future resilience.
I have hands-on experience using tools such as Nessus and Metasploit in academic and lab settings to identify weaknesses, review findings, and better understand how vulnerabilities impact systems. This work has helped me strengthen my understanding of risk, remediation, and secure configuration practices.
My homelab gives me a safe environment to work with virtualization, containers, self-hosted services, website hosting, reverse proxies, and infrastructure testing. It allows me to experiment with new deployments, improve troubleshooting skills, and gain practical experience implementing solutions outside of a production environment.
